From the Tupperware Catalogue: If you are trying to measure a sticky substance such as molasses or karo or honey or even peanut butter in a measuring cup, spray the measuring cup with Pam or some other spray oil, and the contents will slip right out.

To prepare to wash "ring around the collar", rub the dirt area with chalk before washing.  It will help attract the dirt that is engrained with body oils.

A good pre-wash soak solution gets out the worst of stains is made up of 1/3 cup bleach, 1/2 cup powdered dishwasher detergent to a gallon of hot water.

Ballpoint pen and lipstick stains should come out with rubbing alcohol.

If you put a nylon net puff in the dryer, it will help prevent lint from sticking on your clothes.

A good general all purpose (cheap) stain remover is liquid dishwashing soap or hand soap rubbed on the stain before washing.

Turn cottage cheese and  yogurt containers upside down in  your fridge. They will not spoil as quickly that way.

If you want to cook your hamburgers well done, make a hole in the center of them and they will cook more quickly and completely.

Fresh eggs sink.  Stale eggs float in water.

Baking powder is still good if 1/4 tsp in 1/2 cup warm water fizzes.

Biscuits will be crisp on the outside and flaky in the center if you roll the dough and then fold it over once before cutting out biscuits.

The tannin in tea is a meat tenderizer.  Cook tough cuts of meat in strong tea instead of water when cooking stews.
